Concrete Accelerator (Antifreeze ) IH-C
Cement hydration reaction accelerator for making concrete and implementing cold concreting
IH-C accelerator is used to accelerate initial setting and strength development in the early ages of concrete in cold and frosty weather. Concrete antifreeze is made on the basis of sodium and calcium nitrates and accelerates the reaction of water and cement and increases the hydration of cement in the cold, intensifies heat generation and reduces initial setting time.
Physical and chemical properties
Physical state liquid
Color lemon
Density 1.2 gr/cm³

Chloride Content Nil to EN 934
Properties and effects:
Absence of chlorine ion
Increasing the heat generation of concrete
Increasing the initial and final strength of concrete
Compatibility with all types of cement
Reducing the freezing point and accelerating the initial setting
Application:
Making concrete and concreting in cold and frosty weather up to -15 degrees Celsius
Prevention of concrete freezing for all types of reinforced structures
Suitable for speeding up operation of structures
Carrying concrete in cold weather and sudden temperature drop
Carrying out repair work in cold and frost
Speeding up the opening of templates
Reinforced and prefabricated concretes
In accordance with the standards:
ISIRI 2930 – ASTM C494 Type C – ASTM C827 – BS EN 480-2 BS EN 934
Amount of consumption:
According to the grade of cement and the temperature of the environment during the construction and concreting operations and the thickness of at least 15 cm, the consumption of IH-C per cubic meter is different.
Grade Cement 400 | Grade Cement 350 | Grade Cement 300 | Ambient Temperature (C°) |
1% | 1.5% | 2% | 0 _ -5 |
2% | 2.5% | 3% | -5 _ -10 |
3% | 3.5% | 4% | -10 _ -15 |
For example, if the ambient temperature is between -5 and -10 degrees and the grade of cement is 350, the recommended amount of consumption is 2.5% of the weight of cement consumed per cubic meter, that is, about 8.75 kilograms of IH-C per cubic meter.
Deduct the amount of concrete antifreeze from the mixing water.
Usage method:
Before making concrete and concreting operations in the cold, it is necessary to observe the following points.
Never use frozen sand. Use the following parts.
If necessary, use hot water to increase the temperature of the sand.
The top surface of molds and reinforcements should be cleaned of ice and snow, and if necessary, a heater should be used to increase their temperature to more than 5 degrees Celsius.
IH-C antifreeze is added directly to the ready concrete mixture and 1 minute of mixing time is required per cubic meter.
Do not pour any additive directly on cement or dry stone materials.
After the concreting operation, cover it with nylon or tarpaulin immediately to preserve the heat of the concrete.
If the concrete antifreeze is frozen at ambient temperature, do not heat it with direct heat under any circumstances.
Following the instructions above, the temperature of the concrete after using antifreeze should not be less than +5 degrees Celsius. Otherwise, increase the amount of consumption.
Maintenance conditoins:
It can be stored in the original packaging and in a covered warehouse away from direct sunlight at a temperature of 10-30 °C for one year after the date of manufacture.
Type of packaging:
20 kg gallon
Safety tips: This material is not flammable and is not harmful to the environment. Avoid contact with eyes and skin. In case of contact with eyes, wash with plenty of fresh water. It is recommended to use protective glasses and gloves while working. If swallowed, consult a doctor immediately.
