Mortar Accelerator (Antifreeze ) IH-M
Water and cement reaction accelerator for making and implementing mortar (unreinforced concreting) in the cold
IH-M antifreeze increases the initial setting speed by increasing the hydration rate. By reducing the freezing point of water, it enables mortaring in cold weather. This product is produced in two types: liquid IH-M . Antifreeze containing chloride is made on the basis of chloride and nitrate salts, and by intensifying heat generation, it accelerates hydration at early ages.
Physical and chemical properties
physical state liquid
Color soft red
Density 1.14 gr/cm³
Chloride Content Nil to EN 934
Properties and effects:
- Increase in hydration temperature
- Increasing the initial and final strength of concrete
- Decreasing the freezing point and accelerating the initial setting
- Having no adverse chemical effects on concrete strength
Application:
- Concrete construction and concreting (unreinforced) in cold and frosty weather
- Carrying concrete in cold weather and sudden temperature drop
- Implementation of all types of mortar work such as porcelain wall, stone work, tile work in cold weather
- Doing repair work in the cold
Compliant with the standard:
BS EN 480-2
Amount of consumption:
The consumption rate of IH-M is different based on the grade of cement and the ambient temperature.
Deduct the amount of liquid mortar antifreeze from the mixing water.
Grade Cement 400 | Grade Cement 350 | Grade Cement 300 | Ambient Temperature (C°) |
1% | 1.5% | 2% | 0 to -5 |
2% | 2.5% | 3% | -5 to -10 |
Usage method:
When pouring concrete in the cold, it is necessary to observe the following principles:
Never use frozen sand. Use the following parts.
If necessary, use hot water to increase the temperature of the sand.
The top surface of the molds should be cleaned of ice and snow, and if necessary, a heater should be used to increase their temperature to more than 5 degrees Celsius.
IH-M antifreeze is added directly to the ready mortar mixture and 1 minute of mixing time is required per cubic meter.
No additive should be poured directly on cement or dry stone materials.
After concreting, cover it with nylon immediately to preserve the heat of the concrete.
If the mortar antifreeze is frozen at ambient temperature, do not heat it with direct heat under any circumstances.
Following the above principles, the temperature of the concrete after using antifreeze should not be less than +5 Celsius. Otherwise, increase the amount of consumption.
Maintenance conditions: It can be stored in the original packaging and in a covered warehouse away from direct sunlight at a temperature of 10-30 °C for one year after the date of manufacture.
Type of packaging:
20 kg gallon
Safety tips: This material is not flammable and is not harmful to the environment. Avoid contact with eyes and skin. In case of contact with eyes, wash with plenty of fresh water. It is recommended to use protective glasses and gloves while working. If swallowed, consult a doctor immediately.
